Staff

The pre-school is Ofsted registered and we are currently working towards PSLA* accreditation. Our policy is to recruit qualified staff who are friendly, committed and enthusiastic in their work with the children. All children are allocated a Key Worker: a member of staff with individual responsibilities for a group of children. The Key worker will make herself known to you and your child at the outset, establishing a point of contact for parents and carers. They will help settle your child into the pre-school and establish a bond with your child. All staff members wear badges with their names on.

The Village Pre-school follows the National Curriculum and the six early learning goals. The staff undertake long term planning for the pre-School, following these goals. In doing so, they help the children to develop their independence, relationships with peers and adults and acquaint themselves with day-to-day routines before moving onto Nursery school or reception.
